The Mission :  Travel via cargo plane to the other side of the Earth.

Duration :  14 Days

On the Agenda :   Anchorage-AK to the East Coast to Ramstein, with a short trip to Salzburg, Austria.

The Products :  Articles describing the flight across the pond as cargo, the Deutsche Bahn (German Rail System) and Salzburg's breweries.

Alaskan Cabin
The Mission :  Alaska's public-use cabins are the launchpad to the winter wilderness of The Last Frontier State.

Duration :  Ongoing

On the Agenda :  It's -20°F.  There's 3 ft of snow, and we're hiking to a log cabin, each with a toboggan in tow.   This is winter in Alaska, where snowshoeing, ice fishing and cross-country skiing the ungroomed mountain trails are on the agenda.

The Products :  Informative and humorous articles on camping the winter Alaskan landscape in the old settler lifestyle (with a few modern comforts.)

The Mission :  To get airborne.

Duration :  Ongoing

On the Agenda :  Flying, pure and sometimes simple.

The Products :  Informative, educational and just "plane" funny stories from the air and the photography to prove them.  Expect hair-raising stories on lightening strikes, crying tykes, faulty mikes and moose in sight.

The Mission :  Rescue a trusty Saturn SL2 from Florida's blistering sun and drive it to Anchorage, Alaska.

Duration :  20 Days

On the Agenda :   Hot Springs-AR, The Hoover Dam, Death Valley, The Grand Canyon, The Redwood Forest, Oregon State University, Yakima-WA, and The ALCAN.

The Products :  Articles describing some of our nation's most picturesque destinations, photographs of the same and short stories covering the 20-day journey.



"Welcome to Alaska"

Beautiful Alaska
The Mission :  Introduce a new-comer, who steps off the airplane from Florida in flip-flops, to The Last Frontier State.

Duration :  Ongoing

On the Agenda :  A 3-day, 30-mile canoe trail through Alaska's wilderness, camping, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, hockey and Running of the Reindeer.

The Products :  Plenty of fish out of water stories and a hysterical comparison of trip reports from a native Alaskan "Sourdough" and a "Cheechako" (or first-timer in Alaska).



"The Exodus"

The Mission :  Journey across the nation, then head north.

Duration :  2 Months

On the Agenda :  Manumitted, our travelers set out on a 2-month, 15,000-mile journey across the continent .

The Products :  Photography, articles and a chapter in the life of an Adventure Writer.
